Obituary of Adolph John Laubmeier
Adolph John Laubmeier, 90, of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday morning, January 20, 2018 at the home of his daughter in Summit, NY.
Born on November 6, 1927 in Linfield, PA, Adolph was the son of the late Frank and Marie (Winklemeyer) Laubmeier. His brother, Frank Laubmeier predeceased him.
He was a 1945 graduate of Jefferson Central School. Mr. Laubmeier was married to Louise (Roeser) Laubmeier on September 23, 1950 a union that lasted 60 years until her passing in 2010.
Adolph was owner and operator of Laubmeier Dairy Farm on West Kill Rd, Jefferson and later worked as a custodian for Jefferson Central School until his retirement. He also served as Town of Jefferson Assessor for several years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of the Grange, the Soil and Water Conservation, and for over 50 years was a member of the Jefferson Fire Dept.
Adolph is survived by three daughters: Theresa (Gordon) Miller of Stamford, Kathryn (John) Bulka of Summit and Audrey (Jeffry) Huse of Guilderland; 12 grandchildren: Jennifer Watson, Rebecca Evens, Jonathan Miller, Rachel Stoesser, Zachary Bulka, Jesse Bulka, Anna Wolters, Justin Huse, Stephen Huse, Hannah Huse, Johanna Huse and David Huse; 16 great grandchildren, his sister in law, Charlotte Champlin and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-7 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, with Rev. Michael Cambi, celebrant. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Fire Department or the Catskill Area Hospice.
