Richard T. Little
1932 - 2017
Condolences
I have sweet memories of “Mr. Little” and his positive impact at Stamford Central School while I attended there from 1972-1977. He was firm, yet fair, always seeking what was best for everyone involved in whatever decision was his to make. As a Stamford Kiwanian serving with my father, he worked hard and made the most of his service. He also showed that service can be fun! I worshipped with Dick in the Stamford United Methodist Church; it was evident that he loved God, his family!, and his country! His kindness and warmth will forever be one of my sweetest memories of Dick Little. I look forward to seeing him again, when we are united in God’s presence!
Our deepest sympathy to Priscilla and family. Dick was a wonderful guy. His warm smile and sincere personality will always be remembered.
What a wonderful, genuine, heartwarming smile!
During my school days at SCS, I found Mr. Little a bit intimidating but I had the utmost respect for him. When I was caught smoking in the girls' room and had to report to Mr. Little the principal, I felt as if I had let him down terribly. I think I even wrote him a personal letter of apology!
My heartfelt condolences to the Little family. I am greatly saddened by your loss. May you find comfort in your memories and the legacy he has left.
We were so sorry to learn that Dick passed away. He was a fellow Superintendant who was admired and respected by all who knew him.Our condolences to his family.
A truly remarkable man. I respected him for his fairness and compassion in school. He was a large presence of a man that will be missed. Talking with him long after graduating was always enjoyable. He always asked about the rest of the family. My condolences to all his family, friends and all the young lives he touched throughout our school years and beyond.
Rest In Peace,
Maria
A strong yet gentle man. Gave support and guidance to many of us at Stamford central and gave me the opportunity to create a wonderful color guard and marching rifle squad. Greeted you with a stern look but always knew what a kind soul he was. He will be missed
I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Little while he was at Roxbury Central School. All these years later I still remember the things he taught me but more importantly what a wonderful man he was. Thoughts and prayers to all of his family.
Many fond memories of this kind man who cut me a lot of breaks in high school. Fortunately, I got to thank him for that 8 years ago. RIP and thoughts and prayers to the family.
We wish to express our sincere condolences to Dick's family. Such a wonderful man. We highly respected him. He was a terrific principal and a excellent role model for the students. Our kids thought the world of him...We will miss you very, very much, Mr. Little........
Mr. Little hired me for a job I loved, and I kept that job for the next 32 years. To say he had an effect on my life would be an understatement for sure. He was a great boss, thought of the students first, and was fair, encouraging, and competent in dealing with the staff. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to begin my career under his thoughtful guidance.
I am sure all six Rasi children would say thank you for the support and guidance through the years at SCS. Thoughts and prayers go out to Tom, Jim and Karen as well as Mrs. Little during this difficult time.
