Condolences
May your family and friends be comforted by God's promise to swallow up death forever and wipe away every tear from all faces. (Isaiah 25:8) Along with the promise of a time very soon when no residents will say, "I am sick". (Isaiah 33:24) Remembering to the promise of the resurrection hope for both the righteous and unrighteous. (Acts 24:15)
We will all miss this wonderful gentleman who loved his country and community. I remember so well his ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, the special Rotary conferences we attended together, the lunches we shared at the nursing home and his memories of his military service during the war. He was proud of his service to our country. To this day, we still end every Rotary meeting with Gene’s motto: “They Profit Most Who Serve the Best.” He was the best…….I’m sure he’s having a terrific creme puff with Rae right now!
On behalf of Gene's friends who make up the Re"Tired" Dairylea Directors' Group, we fondly recall the years of service he contributed to Dairylea and the dairy industry. Our group has made a small contribution to the First Presbyterian Church of Delhi in his honor and when we meet for our yearly gathering in July will have the opportunity for a few fond "Do You Remember When" stories.
