Obituary of Lillian M. Tiffany

Lillian M. Tiffany, 97, a lifelong Delhi area resident, passed away late Wednesday evening, March 30, 2016 at her home. Born on October 6, 1918 in Delhi, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Lula (McPhail) Stewart. She was a graduate of Delaware Academy and Oneonta Normal School, Lillian taught in the rural schools in the area. Lillian was married to Woodrow W. Tiffany on April 7, 1942 in Delhi, a union that lasted nearly 55 years until his passing on May 6, 1997. Follow her marriage to Woodrow the couple operated a dairy farm for 38 years until retiring in 1980. Following their retirement, Lillian and Woodrow enjoyed traveling. Besides her husband, Lillian was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a sister Grace D. Weisgerber of California, formerly of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi, NY with the Rev. Bert More officiant.
