Obituary of Kathy A. Stone

Kathy A. Stone, 58, of Hobart, passed away Thursday evening, June 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on January 14, 1958 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Doris (Madore) Stone, Jr. She was self-employed for many years doing housekeeping for several area homes. Kathy loved nature and animals, she enjoyed the companionship of her cats. She liked watching birds, feeding chipmunks, she also appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and flowers. Kathy also was a great cook and was known for her special homemade Mac and Cheese. She is survived by her loving companion and love of her life, Ralph Leonard of Hobart; sisters: Connie (Don Champlin) Stone and Marie (Charles Valerio) Decker all of Stamford; Aunts: Jane Madore and Beryl Murphy; nieces and nephews: Traci, Donald, Andy and Roger; great-nieces: Emma, Alana, Samantha and Taylor; and several cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her infant son: Kris Thomas Decker; and a brother-in-law: David Decker. A celebration of life will take place at a time and date to be announced. Arrangements are with MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.
