Condolences
nic, nothing more to say, he held a place in my life that was singular, all love to nic & leslie, and willie & jeanne, and me and mary, may things be as they are and may we be who we are
After more than 50 years as friends and though he died nearly two years ago, I am missing Nick's warm and edgy, wonderful sense of humor, wide ranging erudite conversation, and most of all his generous enlivening ever-constant friendship. It's a great loss.
Nick and I met when we worked together in Brooklyn in the late 1960's. He brought me home to meet his wonderful wife Leslie, with whom I became friends. Eventually got to see all their great daughters grow into terrific women. Felt like I was part of the family, sharing many experiences with them all. Nick was a kind, generous friend. He combined a high intelligence with a very practical side. I feel honored to have known him and shall miss him a great deal.

So sorry for your loss. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Pete and Verna Loker
With great sadness, I learned of Nick's passing. Nick was a generous friend, tireless advocate for Peace and the Environment, and wonderful compadre in the resistance to fracking and fracked gas infrastructure in NY. He was a man of uncompromising integrity, and I feel honored to have known him. I'll look forward to remembering Nick and sharing time with Leslie and their family at the homestead in Spring. With love, Joan Tubridy
