Obituary of Donald R. Clark
Donald R. Clark, age 80, of Florida passed away peacefully on October 16, 2016 surrounded by family. He was born in Delhi, NY on April 1, 1936 to Harold and Edna Clark.
After graduating from college he proudly served in the US Army. Don resided in Liverpool, NY and started his career at Crouse Hinds before joining R.E. Dietz and retiring from National Grid in Syracuse. In most recent years, he has been enjoying his retirement in Florida.
Don was a member of Pasttimes and Syracuse Turners. He was a great fan of Syracuse basketball. Go Orange! He was also an avid golfer and liked to travel.
He never met a stranger and made friends easily, it came natural to him. He has an extraordinary, very special group of friends that loved him and cared deeply for him and were a huge part of his life. Too many to list here, but you all know who you are. Your support during this difficult time has been heartfelt and we will all miss him greatly.
He is Survived by his spouse Carolyn, son Scott (Jamie) Clark of Fairport, NY, daughter Michelle (Ronnie) Rothenberger of Amherst, VA and 3 beautiful grandchildren, Melanie, Sydney and Henry. He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Edna Clark and his brother Bruce Clark.
Visitation was held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Kissimmee, FL 34741. A vigil service was held at 5:00 pm that evening. Graveside services with full military honors will be at 12:30PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi, with the Rev. Edward Golding officiating.
