Obituary of Lawrence Newman

BLOOMVILLE _ Lawrence Newman, 68, of Bloomville, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at home. He was born May 14, 1942, in Ossining, the son of Edwin T. and Isabelle Newman. Mr. Newman resided in Bloomville the last year and a half, previously living in Peekskill, and working in the field of auto body and painting cars. He is survived by a friend, Frances Hitchcock, Bloomville; two daughters, Shannon Newman Muller and Lisa Newman; three stepchildren, Henry Hitchcock, Evelyn Calinsky and MaryLou Galbraith; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He also leaves three brothers, Thomas Newman, James Newman and Daniel Newman; and two sisters, Sandra Deen and Darlene Seemer. Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.
