Obituary of Torescia Badal
SOUTH KORTRIGHT
Early Sunday morning, August 7, Torescia "Tor" Badal, 47, of South Kortright, went home to be with her beloved husband Bissundeo.
Tor and her family moved to South Korthright from their native home of Trinidad 19 years ago. Tor was employed as a residence hall custodian at SUNY Delhi. She will be remembered best for her cheerful smile, doting over her three children and being a second mom to the students residing in her residence hall.
She was a devout mother who loved nothing more than creating a loving environment for her children Santo (29), Vanessa (28), and Vish (22). All three children reside in South Kortright.
In addition to her three children, she is survived by her sister, Theresa L. Ramlochan of Albany, nephew Barry and niece Ariane of Albany, niece Dian of Roxbury, nephew Boyie and niece Mala of Trinidad. She also leaves behind partner Bill Ehler, several other great nieces and nephews and extended family.
The children send this poem for their mother.
In Our Hearts (Author Unknown)
We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name
Now all we have is memories
And your pictures in a frame
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part
God has you in his keeping
And we have you in our heart
