Obituary of Jane L. Eglin

ONEONTA Jane L. Eglin, 81, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. She was born on Jan. 6, 1930, in Astoria. Jane was employed by Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, where she resided before moving to Stamford in 1987. She most recently resided at "The Plains" in Oneonta. Her husband Ernest Eglin predeceased her in 2009. She is survived by her loving family, Ernest Eglin Jr., wife Kathy, children, Jessica and Timothy of Oxnard, Calif.; Stephen Eglin, wife, Gayle, children, Matthew, Cheryl and Gregory of Indialantic, Fla.; Charles Eglin, wife, Mary, children, Thomas, Carol and Charlie of San Diego, Calif.; Joan Delardi, husband, Richard, children, Angelina of Bethpage, NY; Marie Dechow, Husband Steven, children Jolene and Justine of Downsville; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Nathan, Tess and Jordan. Calling hours were held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 & will be held tonight, Monday, August 29, 2011 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011. Memorial contributions in Jane's memory may be made to V.A.
