My condolences to your family, I did not know your daughter personally, but was moved by her artwork and courageous spirit. May your memories be of comfort to you in your bereavement. But the absence of her smile and beauty beside you will change your lives and be replaced with an image of her as you have always known her. So upset when I read this in the paper. Meeting Mary and John in birthing class, giving birth two days apart and keeping in contact all these years, I feel like she was a part of us also. So, so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Michelle!

Words can't express how I feel at this time. Michelle was my pride and joy as a teacher. Her art talent and creativity had no equal in my 33 years of teaching. Michelle was a wonderful person who I enjoyed every moment being with. Her spirit will forever be part of my life.

I was recently introduced to Michelle through her artwork via the Leo Koenig show and feel very fortunate to have been in attendence. Her talent and fortitude was evident the moment I laid eyes on her work. Rarely have I been so immediately affected by someone's work... and I didn't know her story until later.
Though I did not know Michelle, I am very proud to have briefly met her and its something I will always remember.
