Obituary of Russell P. Vausse

Russell P. Vausse, 75, of Walton, passed away on Tuesday evening, November 8, 2016 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a long illness. Born on November 1, 1941 in Margaretville, he was the son of the late Paul and Madeline (Sprague) Vausse. Russell was married to Linda Gibson Vausse on March 8, 1969 in Margaretville, NY. Mr. Vausse was a truck driver for Delwood Foods for many years and retired as a bus driver for Delaware County ARC. Russell was a collector and enjoyed the hunt of finding things to add to his collection. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting in his earlier years and more recently enjoyed camping with family and friends. He like watching tractor pulls, but his greatest joy was his family, Russell was a devoted husband and a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife: Linda Vausse of Walton; three children: Paula (Matt) Knutsen of Otego; Jason (Kimberly) Vausse of Walton and Sarah (Sam Marinak) Vausse of Connecticut; Grandchildren: Tristan, Dalton and Bryanna Knutsen all of Otego and Courtney Vausse of Walton; one sister: Lorraine Vausse of Andes and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. At Russell's request, there will be no calling or funeral, Burial will take place in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi.
