Obituary of Catherine A. Hatch

DELHI _ Catherine A. Hatch, 87, of Delhi, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Mountainside Residential Care Center of Margaretville. She was born July 14, 1924, in Peekskill, the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Rodgers) Bauer. She married Carlton Hatch and they lived in Margaretville from 1948 to 1952, on Route 28, the house was later torn down and the lot now is under the roadway from Route 28 to Mountainside Residential Care Center. Catherine was a graduate of Peekskill High School and worked for Standard Brands in Peekskill. She was a member of Hamden Presbyterian Church; New York State Conservation Council; and the Horticulture Society of Delaware County. She is survived by her husband, Carlton at home; a daughter, Catherine and her husband, John Volt of Utah; two granddaughters, Nine Volt, South Carolina and Heidi Little, Utah; and three grandsons, Jeremy Volt, South Carolina, Thomas Volt, Utah and Cory Volt, South Carolina. Her father and mother predeceased her. Calling hours will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi, with the Rev. Bert More officiating. Burial will follow the service in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
