Obituary of Gerald Ford

Andes Gerald I. Ford, 58 of Andes, New York passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY. He was the son of DeWitt and LaVerne (Perry) Ford born August 30, 1953 in Delhi, New York. He was a graduate of Andes Central School and a lifelong area resident. He loved the out of doors, most especially hunting. He enjoyed all sports, NASCAR, tennis, baseball, basketball often "talking your ear off" about sports and was known to "ref" the game from the bleachers. Gerald looked forward to driving to Florida in the Spring following his retirement as Supervisor for Delaware County Highway Department, Delhi, NY where he was employed for 37 years. He is survived by his loving companion, Joy Tuttle, Andes, NY and a brother Stewart Ford, North Carolina. Graveside Services will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00am in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden, New York with Rev. Bert More officiating. There will be no calling hours.
