Obituary of Franklin W. Collins

Stamford Franklin W. Collins, 74 of Stamford, NY passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at home. He was born February 6, 1938 in Hobart, NY the son of Smith and Annise (Harrington) Collins. January 26, 1957 he married Anna Meeghan. A lifelong area resident, Frank was a butcher for Parnett's Packing, Bloomville, NY for 42 years. He is survived by his wife Anna at home; a daughter, Diane (Dee) and Butch of Stamford; grandchildren Nicole (Tim) Merwin, Crystal Wells, and Drew Presley Brittany (Joe) Bevilacqua, Karlie and Clayton Collins, and Tracey Budd and Robby Wells; great grandchildren, Hayley, Abby, Noah, Marlie, Payton, Jadyn, Rosie, Joseph, Kyle, Taylor, and Zac. Also his siblings, Eddie (Shirley) Collins, Betty Dudley, Dorothy Accurso, Patty (Jay) Hasbrouck and Sue Steadman; and many nieces and nephews. And very special friends Mary and Buddy Reed. A special thank you to the many people at the dialysis unit of Bassett Healthcare. His mother and father Annise and Smith Collins and Sister Linda Mondore predeceased him. Calling hours will take place on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 7-9pm at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, NY. Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11:00am at the Hobart Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bert More officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
