Obituary of Henry D. Bonne

BOVINA CENTER Henry D. "Harry" Bonne, 72, of Bovina Center, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. He was born on March 21, 1940 in Jamaica, Queens, the son of Henry and Edith (Osmond) Bonne. He married Ann Picariello on May 19 in Merrick, NY. A US Navy veteran, Harry was employed as a Dock Builder in NYC, retiring at 57. He and his wife Ann have been residents of Bovina for 20 years. Harry never let a day go by without reading the NY Times. He was fond of his family pets and often spent time around his Koi fish pond. He loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Ann; 3 sons, Glenn Bonne, Eric and Lisa Bonne, and Nial and Kimberly Bonne; 6 grandchildren, Joseph, Michelle, Nicole, Matthew, Haeli, and Sierra; 1 great grandson, Aiden; 1 brother, Robert Bonne; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Judy Lodato. Friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main St, Delhi. There will be no funeral service. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations in Harry's memory are asked to be made to the Bovina Fire Department and Emergency Squad.
