Obituary of William Merwin

JEFFERSON William Merwin Sr., 65, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Clarabelle Graham; his mother, Pauline Tooley; a sister Shirley Cole; six children, Jill and Richard Wyble, Lucille and Joseph Wyble Jr., William and Kerri Merwin Jr., Cindy and Leo Trujillo, Timothy and Britt Merwin, and Lila Merwin; daughter in law, Lolita Merwin; 15 grandchildren, Heather, Glenn, Megan, Merrissa, Joseph III, Travis, Clara, Nicole, William III, Brandi, Taide, Destiny, Montana, Timothy, and Alexis. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Merwin Sr., a sister Patsy Brockway, brothers, Kenneth Merwin Jr., Jerry Tooley; and a grandson, Little Richard. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Davenport Fire House. There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
