Obituary of Donald S. Hussey

DELHI Donald S. Hussey, 86, of Delhi, died on November 29, 2012 at AO Fox Hospital, Oneonta. He was born on May 29, 1926 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Stephen R. and Mabel C. (Parks) Hussey. He married Buelah Phoenix on June 10, 2000. Donald was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. He was employed as a railroad engineer for many years, retiring in June of 1986 from Amtrak in NJ. Shortly after retirement he moved to the Delhi area. An animal lover, he enjoyed his horses and dogs. He was a member of the Delhi VFW and American Legion. He was a life-long member of the Andiron Lodge. Donald is survived by his wife Buelah of Delhi; 5 stepchildren, Irene A. Catron of Franklinville, NC, Mary J. Marincel of Binghamton, Arthur Thompson of Morrisville, David C. Thompson of Walton, and Thomas E. Thompson of Walton; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. At his request, there will be no calling hours or service. Donations in his memory are asked to be made to the Treadwell United Methodist Church.
