Obituary of Marjorie J. Balcom

MARGARETVILLE - Marjorie J. Balcom, 80, formerly of Margaretville, passed away at Robinson Terrace, Stamford, Nov. 30, 2012. She was born Jan. 13, 1932, in Margaretville, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (O'Brien) Balcom. Marjorie enjoyed playing bingo, coloring, drawing and making craft projects. She is survived by her daughters, Millie Cronk of Delhi and Dottie Mattice of Stamford; brothers, Richard Balcom of Hamook, Ore., and Stanley Balcom of Unadilla; a sister, Diane Miner, Oregon; a granddaughter, Sue (Eric) Williamson, Nichols, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Eric Jr., Carly, and Lilyann, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A sister, Geraldine Hosier, brother, Carson Balcom, and grandson, Joseph John Effner Jr., predeceased her. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will take place at the convenience of the family at a future date. Burial will be in Roxbury Cemetery, Roxbury.
