Vito was so special to me in many ways. Coffee in the diner with he and John Ellis made my mornings. He was so supportive as I battled breast cancer and gave me so much encouragement. The Thursday before he passed away his final words to me were " I am so proud of you and am so happy you have beaten the cancer. He gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek as he did every time I saw him." I was scheduled for my final surgery on the 8 th of December and he gave me more wisdom then I could ever imagine. I got the call from my mom that he had died. I cried a lot that night and the rest of the week. He truly was like a grandfather to me but more than that I was so happy to call him my friend. To his family and to Pat Nabinger and her family I want you to know that I will miss him always. Going into the Delhi diner will never be the same. Rest In Peace my dear dear friend. I will remember you always. You made my mornings and filled them with laughter everyday before I went to work. With love and friendship Barb
