I am so sorry to hear about jerry about he was a very good man with a big heart , I have known him for a lot of yrs , My best memories is when he would come to the pharmacy with some of the best choc chip cookies you ever had and tell us girl try not to eat them all today ,which would never happen ,he always had a great story to tell us . and his famous line was WHAT YOU KNOW I CAN'T HEAR ,,lol,,. but I think he would just do it to make us tell the story again ,, he will be missed by many , and I know us girl over at O'Connor are going to miss him very much ,,
We are heartbroken about Jerry. He became part of our extended family when he worked with us at Village Seafood. Everyone he came into contact with enjoyed his stories and enjoyed working with him. We were blessed with being able to give Jerry and Joanne one of our Boston Terriers, Studley. Little did any of us realize at that time what love and happiness Studley would bring by becoming a part of their lives. We loved running into Jerry with their beloved Studley riding shotgun and our phone updates from Joanne. When Studley was a little puppy one day while Jerry was playing with him at the shop Studley nipped him in the nose. After Studley became a Decker we all laughed about this saying Studley knew his future and had marked Jerry as his own. Our family has been very fortunate to have known Jerry and to have his and Joanne's friendship. Please know Joanne that you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers and will always have a special place in our hearts.

I remember so many good times with Jerry. He and my sister Karen gave me some awesome nieces and nephews. One of my fondest memories of Jerry is the day he and I fished the trout opener all day from Bloomville to Andes hitting every fishing hole along the way. We would stop for a cool one at all the little watering holes along the way. It was a great day. Another memory was our smelt fishing trip to Cayuga lake. Camping, partying and eating smelt by the river. Deer hunting with Jerry and the guys in the early 80's, again a wonderful time. After I married I sort of lost touch but will ALWAYS treasure the times I got to spend with my brother in law and friend. I will miss him for sure. Chris
