Obituary of Dornora E. Misner

~~The much-loved Dornora Ellen Misner of East Meredith got her wings unexpectedly on Saturday, September 9, 2017, and family and friends hold her close in memories that will live forever.

Dornora was born on September 7, 1962 to the late Paul and Faith Wright Titch, and grew up in Andes.

Dornora is survived by her “Dove” William A. Misner of East Meredith, daughters Kimberly (Steven) Titch of East Meredith, Kayla (Richie) Larsen of East Meredith, and son William C. Misner, also of East Meredith. She is also survived by her grandson, Andrew Lewis Kimbell of East Meredith, and her brother Robert Titch of Andes. She was pre-deceased by her parents and two brothers, Paul Larry Titch and Barry Titch.

Dornora married her best friend and the love of her life, Bill, on August 24, 1978. They settled first in Margaretville and then made their home in East Meredith where they worked so hard to build their loving family for the past many years.

The most important things to Dornora were her family foremost, friends, and being the helping hand for everyone who needed it. She loved “her ladies” who will miss her dearly. She was everyone’s shoulder to lean on, she was the mother for those who needed one. She always put others before herself. She had the eyes, smile and touch of an angel here on earth that made everything better. Her grandson, Andrew, meant the world to her. She had the gift of a green thumb and her legacy is imprinted in the many gardens in the area. Dornora always knew the right words to say at any given moment. She had the gift of keeping a conversation going.

She was the family’s foundation and rock. She was the shelter in many storms.

All are welcome to join together for a Celebration of Dornora’s life at the family home at 1012 Smith Hill on  Saturday, September 23 beginning at 11:00 a.m., weather-permitting, or on Sunday if Saturday is inclement. Please bring stories and memories to share.

“Thanks for the joy that you’ve given me, you know that I believe in your song…”

We love you, Mom, look after us until we are together again. You are forever in our hearts.
